We want A Guide To New York Cafe Restos to be usable by as many people as possible.
The site includes labeled search and filter controls, a four-language interface (English, Spanish, French, and Chinese) for broader accessibility, high-contrast text throughout, and semantic heading structure on our guide content so it works well with screen readers and browser reader modes.
The interactive map view is a visual supplement to the directory's list view; all restaurant information available on the map is also available in the standard list format, which is more broadly accessible to screen reader users. We're continuing to look for ways to improve the map experience for assistive technology.
